Immediate help
If you are in mental distress, call the 24-hour crisis lines for free, some of which also work by chat or email.
Crisis helplines
- Psychological First Aid Line: +420 116 123 (NONSTOP and free of charge)
- Bohnice Crisis Centre Helpline: +420 284 016 666 (NONSTOP and free of charge)
Unfortunately, the possibility to speak English is not guaranteed! But very often there is someone who speaks English well enough, so it is worth trying.
If you are experiencing an acute psychological crisis and calling is not enough, you can visit a crisis centre in person. A psychologist and a psychiatrist are available on site.
Crisis centres
